I am home. After twelve months in Asia, I am finally back on American soil. It has been a learning, rewarding, and absolutely excellent experience. When I last wrote, I was in Shanghai, about to begin my final six weeks in Asia. Since that time, I have been traveling with dual purpose. In addition to my continual search for new experiences, cultures, foods, and people, I added an entirely new reason for my most recent journeys...a business adventure. I have decided to start my own company, importing the traditional, unique, handcrafted products (adapted to my own designs and label) of the many peoples that I have met on my journeys. I believe that it will be a perfect combination of my love of travel and culture, my years of study of international politics, and the ideal that the more interaction, through dialogue, cultural exchange, and global trade, that occurs between cultures, the more peaceful and understanding the world will be.
